I work closely with a maximum of 35 couples per year shooting weddings all over Australia and internationally. I invest a lot of time into creating strong relationships with my couples so my photography reflect every big and small detail of your day perfectly. I keep my pricing fair, honest and simple to reflect my mantra that wedding days should be fun, relaxed and all about you.
Wedding packages start at $3300
Elopement packages start at $1000
Portrait and Engagement Sessions start at $550
What you always get for your investment:
– Planning and guidance for your wedding to get the most out of photography and have a generally awesome day.
– Me as your photographer! From morning preps to late night dance floor moves! Professional editing of all the good photos from the day in colour and a selection in black and white (so they all look their best!)
– Many, many photos (anywhere from 500-900, depending on how long your wedding photography coverage is)
– An Online gallery to check out the photos and share with friends and family
– All of the photos on USB within 4-6 weeks
To travel overseas and photograph your wedding is a great privilege for me. Each year I accept a limited amount of destination wedding photography bookings outside of Australia. In the past few years, I shot weddings in USA, Fiji, Bali, New Zealand and New Caledonia to name a few.
As I see this opportunity as a privilege and blessing – wedding photography coverage is free of charge for outside of Australia and I only charge for travel + accommodation for 3 nights. If this sounds like what you are after, I suggest emailing me for some more information.
// We’re not really into the posey kind of stuff…
Good, because neither am I. I like to document the day as it happens, and focus on capturing the emotion and people that are the most important to you. I won’t get you to fake anything, and the photos will reflect who you really are. Hopefully you will hardly even notice I’m there – I don’t carry a lot of gear, and usually just melt into the background.
// Will we meet before our wedding?
Yes, definitely. I love to meet all my clients to ensure we’re a good fit and have a chat beforehand. I’m always keen for a nice coffee, or a cheeky cocktail on a Friday night. If you’re interstate or overseas, we can Skype instead.
// Will you hold a date for us?
I can’t hold a date for you, but I can let you know if someone else enquires about the same date before you’ve booked me. However, it is a first come, first served kind of thing – so whoever pays their deposit first secures the date.
// How do we book you for our wedding?
A $500 non-refundable deposit will secure your date. I’ll then send you a contract to look over and sign, and the balance is due two weeks before the wedding.
// Do you offer videography?
I don’t, but know some amazing talented people who do. Send me an email and I’ll forward on their details.
// Do you travel?
Yes! I easily travel all over the place for weddings. I absolutely love going to new venues that I haven’t seen before, which is why I arrive the day prior to your wedding to suss out all the good spots for the big day. Each year I also take on selected international weddings!
// Do you bring another photographer?
It’s just me, unless you want a second photographer (which I have some trusty side kicks who help me cover things when time restraints are tight), but I’m pretty good at getting everywhere I need to be.
// Do you work off a shot list?
I don’t entirely as every wedding is unique so I go by what is special to you. I have my key shots I love to get, and as I have various affiliations with amazing wedding magazines I love to capture a lot of detail for possible wedding. If there is something you want photographed in particular, let me know and it shall happen!
// How much time do we need for portraits?
Generally around 1 hour, which doesn’t include travel time. If you want to get some epic shots which may mean more travel time – remember to factor this in. In the end it’s about the love and the only time in your life you will get these special photos, so make it count!
// What is the best time for portraits?
One thing you can’t control on your wedding day is the weather. However, you can do a few things to try and get the best out of the light on the day – try and avoid the middle of the day when the sun is directly overhead and can cause harsh shadows. The last hour of light before sunset is always beautiful and dreamy, and the best kind of forecast is for overcast and cloudy. If it’s super sunny, we’ll try and find an area of full shade so you’re not all sweaty and shadowy.
// What do we get afterwards?
High resolution (for printing) digital images for you to do whatever you please with, and an online gallery that you can share with family and friends.
// How many images will we receive?
It depends on how eventful your wedding is, and how many guests you have – but it’s generally 500-900.
// How long before we receive our images?
Generally you will have your photos within 4-6 weeks.
// Do you edit every photo?
Every single one. I love creating that classic film look, with rich blacks and beautiful colour with a touch of mood. The editing process is just as much of my service as is the photography, and takes almost as long.
// Are you insured?
I certainly am, I have $20,000,000 public liability insurance.
// Am I a member of the AIPP?
I was! However, after quite a few years being involved I realised that clients can generally tell of my quality of work, professional standard and dedication to my craft from my portfolio. The AIPP let a lot of photographers in by membership payment which sometimes don’t cover those three important factors above.
// How do you feel about same sex marriage?
I’m all for it, I totally believe that any two people in love should have the right to get married.
// What equipment do you use?
I use 2 Canon bodies, and generally use prime lenses. I only use flash if it’s absolutely necessary through reception, much preferring the use of natural light.
// Do you offer albums and fine art prints?
I sure do – there is nothing like feeling the photo, not just seeing it. I offer some amazingly beautiful albums that are made right here in Australia.
